About

Built from the finance and controls side of private equity

Aftercomm reviews the email a company sends and tells the right people, within minutes, when one creates real risk. It was built by someone who spent more than a decade on the side of the business that answers for that risk afterwards: in the audit, in the exam, in the reconciliation.

Yuri has spent 12+ years in finance and operations at private equity and investment firms: fund accounting, tax structuring across multi-tier partnerships, valuations and operational controls, in an industry where regulatory exams, audits and recordkeeping rules are part of the job. He has led more than 40 audits covering over $20 billion in assets.

Alongside that, he has spent 12+ years building software, for more than 100 organizations, to automate workflows, move data cleanly between systems and take manual work off people’s desks, with a focus on applied AI.

Why Aftercomm exists

In the businesses I worked in, email is where risk actually shows up: a changed wire instruction, a promise kept out of the contract, a spreadsheet forwarded to a personal address, a reply someone regrets. The tools built to catch it were archives and keyword lists: months of rollout, and a person reading thousands of hits that meant nothing.

Catching it shouldn’t take another archive. It takes someone reading what was sent and saying when it matters, without putting the mail in yet another vendor’s database. So I built that: two read-only Microsoft permissions, a policy you write yourself, a verdict that keeps no copy of the message, and an alert that reaches compliance, HR or legal while there is still time to act.

Security questionnaire, a DPA, a question about how a verdict is reached, or a policy you want to pressure-test: email info@aftercomm.com and the answer comes from someone who works on the product, not a ticket queue.
